• Improves blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus through the action of a GLP-1 receptor agonist.
• Used in combination with diet and exercise for better glycaemic management.
• This GLP-1 medication may be used alone or together with other diabetes medicines, as prescribed by a healthcare provider.

Tirzepatide in this pen works as a GLP-1 receptor agonist, mimicking the action of two natural hormones in your body. These hormones help lower blood sugar in three key ways: by helping your body release insulin when needed, reducing how much sugar your liver produces, and slowing down how quickly food leaves your stomach. This GLP-1 mechanism helps you feel full for longer, reduces how much you eat, and keeps your blood sugar steady throughout the day.

Inject once weekly into your abdomen, thigh, or upper arm, with or without food, at any time of the day. Always try to use it on the same day each week.

Remember:

• Each pen has four doses of its stated strength (12.5mg pen = total 50mg in pen).
